Startup WawStreet wants to provide an NFT marketplace where collectors can buy unique Belgian art with euros. VOX made their dream possible by developing the platform.
WawStreet is a Brussels-based started up founded in early 2022. Their mission? To provide the first digital marketplace where non-fungible tokens or NFTs can be sold and bought with euros. With WawStreet, they want to introduce new artists and collectors to the world of NFTs as well as provide experienced connoisseurs with unique Belgian artworks. To develop the marketplace from top to bottom, they enlisted the help of the IT technicians at VOX.
Top-shelf platform development by VOX
When designing the marketplace, VOX divided the application into two parts: the digital gallery where users can view and buy NFTs and the back-office where admins can manage the platform and import NFTs. The biggest development challenge? Linking the back-office of the marketplace directly to the blockchain used to provide the NFTs.
To accomplish this, we joined forces with SettleMint, a specialist in blockchain interactions. By working closely together and consulting with the client, we were able to fine-tune the marketplace and develop the desktop application to access it. The result? A user-friendly platform custom-made with PHP Lavarel by the bright minds at VOX. Fully developed and functional, the project was nevertheless put on pause by our client.
